Answers to the most common questions asked concerining stays, activities and vaccation package.

HOW CAN I PAY?
Upon completing your booking, you can pay by credit card (Visa or MasterCard), direct payment or gift card. If you are unable to pay online, you can contact our call centre on +46 (0)771 22 33 50 or at paketresor@gotlandpromotion.se

WHEN DO I PAY?
The registration fee (10% of the booking price) is due immediately at the time of booking. Final payment must be received no later than 28 days before arrival or your reservation will be cancelled, in accordance with our current cancellation policy.
Bookings with an arrival date within 28 days require immediate payment.

IS IT SAFE TO ENTER MY CARD DETAILS?
Yes. All personal information is entered on an encrypted page (SSL 128 bits) where it’s safe to disclose information about yourself and your card. We will then use your email address to contact you regarding your booking and destination.

WHAT IS COVERED BY THE CANCELLATION INSURANCE?
Cancellation insurance applies to all persons named in the booking. If you need to use your cancellation insurance it will apply to all the people covered by your reservation - no partial refunds can be made if some people choose to make the trip. You must be able to substantiate your claim with a certificate or official documentation from a doctor, insurance company or relevant authority.

Cancellation insurance is available for SEK 295 per booking and can only be taken at the time of booking.

WHEN IS MY RESERVATION CONFIRMED?
You will receive written confirmation from us after booking and payment to say your reservation is valid. Once you have filled in all your booking details and clicked ‘Confirm’, all that remains is to make your payment. Depending on which payment method you select, you’ll see a new page where you enter your payment information. Click on the "Pay" button to complete the transaction. Once your payment has gone through the booking is complete.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I GET SICK?
You can protect yourself against cancellation charges by buying cancellation insurance at the time you make your booking. For cancellations made up to 24 hours before arrival a service charge of 5% of the booking price applies, up to a maximum of SEK 200, if any of the following occur:

a) death, illness or accident of a serious nature affecting you, your husband / wife, your partner, your or your partner’s parents, children, siblings or traveling companion
b) call-up to military service or civil defence
c) a serious event beyond your control, such as extensive fire or flooding in your home, which means that it is not reasonable that you should honour your reservation.

You must be able to substantiate your claim with a certificate or official documentation from a doctor, insurance company or relevant authority. Documentation received later than 7 days after the cancellation date will not be considered.

For later cancellations (within 24 hours of arrival) the full booking price applies.

Charges for cancellation, changes, invoicing and booking fees are non-refundable.

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I WANT TO CANCEL?
Cancellations can be made by telephone on +46 (0)771 22 33 50 between 09:00 and 17:00 on weekdays (09:00 and 18:00 between 1 April and 12 August) and between 09:00 and 13:00 at weekends (09:00 and 18:00 between 1 May and 12 August) or via email at bokning@gotlandpromotion.se

Please note that your cancellation is not valid until you have received written confirmation.

WHAT CHARGES APPLY TO CANCELLATIONS?
When cancellation insurance has not been chosen or does not apply, the following will be charged (see exceptions below):

  • 28 days or more before arrival: 10% of the booking price (deposit)
  • 12-27 days before arrival: 25% of the booking price
  • 2-11 days before arrival: 50% of the booking price
  • 0-1 day before arrival: 100% of the booking price

Charges for cancellation, changes, invoicing and booking fees are non-refundable.

Cancellation charges for private cottages, houses, apartments, rooms and farmhouses:

  • 29 days or more before arrival: 10% of the total cost (deposit)
  • 0-28 days before arrival: 100% of the total cost

CANCELLATION CHARGES FOR ROOM RESERVATIONS
Room bookings, such as hotel bookings, which are not part of a package cancellation, must be cancelled no later than 17:00 on the day before arrival. If you cancel after 17:00 on the day before arrival  you will be charged for the whole reservation.

CANCELLATION CHARGES FOR SPECIAL OFFERS
Please note that special amendment and cancellation charges may apply for specific campaigns and promotions. Please check the price information carefully before you complete your booking. Your booking confirmation will also have more information about the cancellation policy.

EVENT BOOKINGS
Event tickets cannot be altered or cancelled. No refunds will be made if tickets are not used.
